“I’m going to hug you.”
Reilly took a step back, glad that the mask he wore and his current demonic visage hid his surprise. At the moment, he wasn’t even able to come up with a suitably sarcastic reply to Spider-Girl. “What?”
“I’m going to hug you,” she repeated. “Doc Magus says you can’t move from there right now until the demon thingie is purged, so you’re pretty much trapped.” She wrapped her arms around him and squeezed. “Thank you for saving my mom.”
Then she pulled her mask up to her nose and kissed him, right on the mouth. There was a long, awkward pause, and she scampered away.
