“You,” Megan grunted, “are really heavy.”
“Less talking, more lowering. Careful!” Tommy hissed, his hand centimeters from a red beam. He took a deep breath. “You drop me and we’re both dead.”
“I know that, duh.” Megan made a rude noise. “Stop squirming.”
“I’m not squirming!” he insisted. “You’re not holding the rope steady enough.”
Megan sighed. “This looked a lot easier on that episode of Buffy.”
“You mean the one where the rope got stuck and Willow got captured by the evil slayer, and there were the evil spider thingies?” Tommy asked.
“Stop being mean.”
