“His name… well, I call him Teddy.”
Mar-Vell straightened from crouch, his eyes still on the little blond boy standing beside his foster mother. She kept one hand on his head, letting his hair slide through her fingers. “Princess Anelle entrusted his care to me, but with recent events, I thought it best…”
“It would have been nice to know about him before now,” Mar-Vell said, pitching his voice so only the woman calling herself Sarah Altman could hear.
“The fewer people who knew, the easier to keep the secret. But we have been betrayed. Someone tried to take Teddy from his school.”
Mar-Vell continued to look down at the quiet little boy, listening to the familiar, gleeful shouts of Wanda’s boys coming home, somewhere outside. “We need to talk, but not in front of Teddy.” He turned. “Come on, there are some people you should meet.”

“This is Teddy. He’ll be staying with us here for a little while,” Mar-Vell explained, a hand resting on Teddy’s shoulder. Tommy tugged his hood up and scratched the Band-Aid on his cheek while his twin half-hid behind his mother’s legs.
Teddy squirmed a little and smiled shyly. Mar-Vell thought it looked very much like his mother’s smile. “Hi.”
“Hi,” Billy murmured back, peeking around Wanda.
