“Lets go out tonight and have some fun,” Victor said, leaning across the table and pulling a hand on Billy’s arm. “There’s a new club that opened up last week. We could go dancing or something.”
He watched Billy’s eyes light up and felt hope kindling in his own chest. Getting Billy out was like pulling teeth, but Victor could be patient. Billy was worth the wait and the work. “What if Teddy calls? He said he’d be coming back soon.”
“Bring your cell phone,” Victor suggested. “If Teddy calls here, someone can call you.”
Billy looked away, his lower lip caught between his teeth. Victor waited, watching as the spell caster debated with himself.
“Does this place have a dress code?”
