“How many more times,” Tommy asked, “do you think I’ll have to say that I’m sorry before she’ll talk to me again?”
Vision contemplated the question, taking into account the duration of the speedster’s previous fights with Megan, then carefully adding what he’d done this time into the equation. [You already delivered the cute stuffed animal?] the android asked.
“A penguin. With balloons,” Tommy added. “They’ve got butterflies on them, and glitter.”
[Two more days.]
Tommy groaned, draping himself across the couch. It still smelled a little like Megan’s perfume from the last time she’d visited the Lair. “That’s forever!”
[Somehow, I believe you will survive, Tommy. And until Megan is in a more forgiving mood, we can continue our movie watching. I believe we left off with Bubba-Hotep.]
Tommy slumped further into the couch, pouting.
