Title: So You Think You Can Dance
Universe: Young Avengers
Rating: G
Summary: Billy likes to dance. Teddy doesn't.
"This isn't near as hard as you're making it out to be," Billy said.
"Yes, it is," Teddy retorted, arms crossed over his chest. He tapped his foot and didn't look at Billy. "And I don't know why I agreed to this."
"Because we're going to my grandparents anniversary, and I want to have someone to dance with other than my cousins," Billy explained. "And because it'll make me happy."
"Because you don't know how to say no to Sparky."
"Shut up, Tommy."
"Go away, Zippy."
Tommy zipped from the ground floor to the catwalk, a camcorder practically glued to his eye. "No way in hell. Unless either of you can match Kate's bid for the evidence."
"I'll give you twenty bucks to go away," Billy said.
"Hundred."
"Twenty."
"Ninety."
"Twenty."
"Eighty, and that's my final offer."
"Go away, Tommy."
The speedster made a noise of protest as the blue glow of Billy's magic enveloped him. There was a popping noise as air rushed in to fill the space he had occupied, leaving Billy and Teddy alone in the Lair.
"Where'd you send him?"
"The zoo. With the monkeys."
"Ah. Remind me not to piss you off."
Billy arched an eyebrow and pointedly turned on the CD player. "Alright, now that the peanut gallery's gone...” He stepped up to Teddy. "I'll lead."
"I thought the taller one was supposed to do that."
"I'm the one who knows what they're doing here." Billy put a hand on Teddy's waist and grabbed his hand. "If you can keep from stomping my feet, we'll see about teaching you to lead. Now, on the beat, I'm going to step back, and you follow me. Okay?"
"This is stupid," Teddy pointed out.
Billy stepped back, pulling Teddy with him. The blonde stumbled into him with an annoyed grunt. "You promised," the spell caster pointed out. "This really isn't hard if you try."
"I'd rather be fighting Skrulls," Teddy muttered mutinously.
"Lets try again. One, two, three." Billy stepped back again, and this time Teddy barely stumbled. "Much better. Just relax, and one, two, three!"
Billy moved again, and this time Teddy's foot came down right on his. "Are you okay? I told you this is a bad idea." Teddy pointed out as Billy yelped and hopped on one foot.
"It is not," Billy said, a dangerous look in his dark eyes.
"Alright, alright." Teddy took Billy's hand with a sigh. "Lets try again."

Billy glared at Teddy as he stumped along on his crutches.
"I didn't mean to break your foot."
Billy continued to glare.
"I did say this was a bad idea."
Billy was still glaring at the contrite Teddy.
"Look at it this way. Now you don't have to dance with your cousins."
"Teddy. I love you. But you need to shut up. Right now."
