Tommy pressed a cup of coffee into Nico’s hands and flung himself into the chair next to her. “Am I forgiven yet?” he asked.
Nico set the coffee aside, fighting down a wave of nausea. “Why,” she asked, “do they call it morning sickness when it happens all the time?” She groaned. “I was up all night heaving my guts out thanks to you.”
Tommy rubbed Nico’s shoulders. “I’m sorry,” he said, nuzzling her neck.
“And for the record, no, you are not forgiven. You’re an asshole.”
“So people keep telling me.”
