Arms wrapped around Pietro’s shoulders, pulling him close to a curiously hollow chest. ‘S’alright,’ a voice said, bypassing the ears and going straight to the young speedster’s brain. ‘Just a dream, mate. Just a bad dream.’
Pietro turned, burring his head in Jono’s reassuringly solid shoulder. It had been a long time since anyone had held him like that. It had been a long time since anyone had held him at all.
The last person had been Wanda. And that had been a long time ago.
