i just can't believe that the cost of this isnt absorbed by anything.....there are people who bilk the welfare system for ages and those who claim workmans comp for back injuries while playing drums with their band in germany (that is for real....i heard it on npr) and this woman is really in need.....and there is no fallback for her family right now

So true - the amount per year it costs a "student" to be in the Vista program is pretty astounding.
