So you're the person behind this brilliant story! I'd read it partly on the kink meme and had immediately fallen in love with it. I'm so happy to see it's completed and you de-anoned here with all the extra information.

I'm going to read the complete story with all the extra info and then probably review again with comments on the actual fic, but yeah, I just had to squee about this :)

I knew this was you, knew it! :D YOu write the best fem!Prussia stories.

Honestly this fic was incredible, so much historical detail (shown by the amazing research you posted here) that I was learning as I was reading. This story pulled at my heartstrings so much with its up and downs, then finally that ending! <3 fantastic. Though now I'm curious as to how her relationship with Russia went >.>

Well, in keeping with canon, Prussia thinks Russia's a dick, though they will have some sort of weird reciprocal relationship since the Soviet policies in the East were supported to some degree except for administrative mishandling as well as rationing, etc. The relationship is pretty lukewarm. I think it's obvious (yes? no? maybe?) that Russia's in love or is infatuated with Prussia in this story but she only partially reciprocates, which is supposed to be normal with her in this verse. (She has these relationships with other countries like France and Spain though it's never been anything like her socio-economic relationship with Russia).

Personally, I mean, she'll only ever have a soft spot for Germany so in the future, when they finally have a relationship (Die Qual Der Wahl, Smart Casual, etc) you do see emotional reciprocation. They're not in it for their own interests, like all the other nations she's been with in the past. Soooo yessss. :D

Oh wow, that's really interesting, thank you for the backstory info <3 :D Haha I was intrigued cos I'm something of a Russia/Prussia shipper as well, so I'll be interested if you write more about that period.

Eeee her and Germany are so much love :D

LOL re-reading my comment now and it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. What I mean is actually that Prussia had a lot of very casual relationships XD I take the view that alliance = some sort of sexual or relationship-related advantages. Taking her many previous alliances into account, you get her cavalier attitude towards relationships. Then, you also remember she never married except 'twice' - once to Brandenburg and then once more to 'Germany' under Bismarck during the first unification (and then you get reunification). However, the only real marriage in this verse was to Brandenburg, to whom she loses her virginity. Even though she is technically supposed to be married to Germany, she sort of just... adopts him or something to that effect. She thinks it is more of a merger because she found Germany a century earlier and had been raising him since, so even then it's not a merger in the traditional sense ( ... )
