Just Finished: Black Widow, Vol. 1: S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Most Wanted. Which was good! But, uh, not very inventive and often disappointingly dull as a result.

Currently Reading: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by JK Rowling! Only a chapter in so far, though.

Yeah, agreed on the Black Widow book. It's good, and it sure is pretty, but it's not GOOD.

I think the problem with it is that the last run was straight up FANTASTIC, and this just seems like a step back by comparison. It's thoroughly alright, to the point of being very good in a lot of places, but it doesn't really stand out at all.

Yep. And like, they're seasoned storytellers and a well-oiled machine, and that shows, but it's also obvious that they're new too her and don't want to rock the boat so much, so maybe there's more exciting things to come?
