I'd known about Firefly for a while, though I'd never seen it--the people on RPG.net are, frankly, crazy over the series. I admit, I had a little bit of geek aversion to it at first (i.e., a bunch of other people like it, so clearly it sucks), but when I actually watched it, I realized that they were right

i find it amazingly funny that they imported horses to all of the worlds that they live on... spaceships and horses... an odd combination for the two most prevalent methods of locomotion :-p

Most of the worlds in the show are frontier worlds, without the benefit of the hovercars/personal jetpacks/whatever they use on the core worlds. Fuel is probably scarce, and reserved for more important things.

Well, that, and it's a western. Cowboys ride horses ^_~

i was actually using the horses as a roundabout way of showing support to the whole western theory :-p that and the theme song is country ;)

speeking of which, i will take you up on that pirated copy of the song :)
