I was planning on watching this just for Oguri Shun and Yamapi (shut up, I'm a shameless fangirl, I'd watch Barney if they made a guest appearance, dammit), but I'm going to have to wait until I get my DVD Burner- my harddrives are more or less full, and I made a pact with myself not to download anything new until I get all my other dramas that I have downloaded watched and burned onto DVDs.

Thank you for the rec, I was kind of hesitant about downloading it because I thought it might be too perverted. (Not that that would have stopped me, but I probably would have put off downloading it for a few months.)

I'd watch paint dry if someone from Arashi made a cameo appearance. Or... yeah. Stuff. Heh.

It's surprisingly not all that perverted at all. Yes, a large part of the show is its focus on sex, sex, and, omg, sex, but I appreciate that it tackles the issue head-on, with frankness and sincerity, without frills or anything. For example, one of the things that irritated me about The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants (or whatever that movie was called) was the way the blonde girl's storyline was handled (um... spoiler warning goes here, I guess). I mean, I'm pretty sure that what happened was that she lost her virginity to a counselor at soccer camp, but they glossed over it so much that it was completely unclear. It made it very confusing to sort out what the characters' feelings were about it, and whether or not the story was trying to convey a message. And it irked me how the soccer dude showed up randomly at the end, trying to sort of make things right, because it struck me as extremely fake and unrealistic ( ... )

Downloaded from jdramas. Apparently Nya! Fansubs is working on it, but it's still an ongoing process. They've only got five out of ten episodes done, so that's all I've seen. But so far I like it very much, and I'm crossing my fingers that the second half of the series continues to be just as good (from what I hear, it is).

I know what you mean! I honestly didn't expect to like it as much as I do, and unfortunately we're kind of left at a bit of a cliffhanger (the first of the four guys has lost his virginity! :O!). So I'm all eeeeeeeee until the next episode, until then I'll just have to distract myself with other dramas :P

I've wanted to see it ever since I learned Oguri Shun and Yamapi were in it. Glad to finally have a rec for it.

I find the first eps of Stand UP!! endearing. These guys are hilarious. I first thought, oh no not another American Pie, but this series, it is about the ups and downs of becoming an adolescent. Of peer pressure and how they are dealing with it. (I mean these four are dying every time those vixens from hell call them virgins, poor things).
I hpe the last 5 eps will come out soon and will be as good as the first half.
