These were handed out in total seriousness at my church when I was a child (well, not all of them, some are new). These were/are believed in total seriousness. Just going back through some of these that were in print when I was a kid is just so weird… it’s funny, but at the same time, people really believe this!!! It's been more than 10 years since I first saw one (the one about D&D leading to witchery and suicide, I think), and it never fails to amaze me how self-parodic those tracts are.

I went ahead and odered their sample pack just to have around for laughs. Nostalgic, in a very disturbing way... I was five/six when I started reading this -- terrifying.

The anti-Mormon one is fairly accurate, looking at it through crazy glasses

That's the really funny thing about all of these. Someone says three lines about bible verses and all of a sudden everyone is like: "Oh, wow, I had no idea! I'm so glad you told me!"

Haha, the Mormon family in the neighborhood (who threw the most interesting 'parties' [read: swinging and drinking, hey!] used to hand these out at Halloween... I loved them! (Guess I'm truly perverse.)

Obviously they didn't hand out the Anti-Mormon ones, lol... I think theirs were more "burn in hell for not being Mormon" kind!

Actually, I could believe you here. Nothing like taking something to the furthest silly extreme to turn people off of the whole thing altogether.
