I'm glad you finally read The Book Thief! I agree, this is one of the saddest book I've read.

The Help is on my to-read list. I can't wait to get myself a copy.

I love The Book Thief (and Markus Zusak, as well!) It's funny, I re-read it in December/early January and when I got the end, it has been long enough since I read it that I had really forgotten what happened and so it took me by surprise all over again. It's such a heartbreaking end, I'm amazed that I could have forgotten so completely what happened!

I tried to read The Help but I seem to be the only person who just didn't click with it. Your review makes me feel like I should give it another try, though.

I've got his other book, I am the Messenger all set to listen to on audiobook, I'm looking forward to it.

I'd say try The Help again on a day when you've got nothing else to read or do. If you do get into it, you'll want to do nothing but read til you get to the end, I guarantee it.
