The Namesake was a really great book! Have you seen the movie? I watched it after reading the book but it wasn;t too bad...if I remember correctly. (lol seriously, what is with my memory on this stuff?) I'm usually super picky about the movie version of a book if I see it after reading the book because I just notice how much they change that they didn't need to, but I remember this one as being pretty decent!

I've heard some really good things about the movie adaptation, and I do want to see it. I like Kal Penn, but I haven't yet seen him act in a movie that allows him to explore his cultural identity (Harold and Kumar doesn't count) and I love Mira Nair. It's going on the list!

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay was on here the other day and I watched it one and a half times. lol He's really good in the movie (even though every time I see him, I do go "OMG, it's Kumar!" I really loved the guy who plays his father in the movie, he just seemed so sweet.

When the Namesake came out as a movie I really wanted to go see it, but I missed my chance before it left theatres. I never did manage to see it, but after that review maybe I'll put it on my list to read!

The books sound really interesting!

I've never read any of The Spiderwick Chronicles.

I had a lot of fun reading these books. The Spiderwick Chronicles are good for an afternoon of reading if you're so incline. None of the books took me more than half an hour to finish.
