 An update for those who might be interested in my friend A's ongoing struggle with a piece of metal in her ear.

It turns out I was wrong about which part of the earring it was. Instead of the back, it was the stud part, i.e. the diamond and the part that goes into your earlobe. Infinitely worse than the back of the earring.

Today was her third day

It's still stuck in her ear? Damn..

There must be an easy way to get that thing out, it sounds like something that could happen to anyone if they're not careful!

I hope she won't go deaf in that ear though.. the other piece sounds a lot more dangerous than a stud just being stuck :/

Today she went to a different place and they were much better. They cleaned up all the blood, reduced the swelling and took a CT scan. Final results will be ready tomorrow.

Well, that sounds like an improvement! I really hope she's going to be alright, though :)

Wow. Those doctors... seriously. >_< What if she goes to a different hospital?

She did, and it really worked out much better. Hopefully this whole thing will be over soon. It's been a really stressful and painful experience for her.

The hospital your friend goes to is useless, how can they not remove a piece of earring? They should before it gets infected and causes major damage, sorry, it frustrates me haha.
