And then I'll read a book, or maybe two or three

I have had a lovely day so far. I slept in, ate toast, and FINALLY watched Tangled!! I cannot describe how much I loved this movie, and I am not ashamed to say I bawled like a baby several times throughout. It just goes to show that even with Pixar's heartwarming tales, Dreamwork's hilarious characters, and all the quirky indie animation that's out ( Read more... )

Damn that's a coincidence, I watched Tangled yesterday with a friend!

Loved seriously everything about it, it's been a long time since a Disney movie managed to captivate me as much as Tangled did. When the Princess and the Frog came out I didn't really like it as much, but Tangled was amazing xD I was actually also thinking of downloading the sound track, I loved every song in the movie, for a change :P

It really was great wasn't it? The music really makes it. I did enjoy The Princess and the Frog but the music wasn't nearly as good or catchy as they were in Tangled.

I'm sad about the death of traditional animation in Disney, but if there are more movies like Tangled then that's more than enough consolation.

It was! It has got everything a Disney movie is supposed to have and damn how great were the side characters? Pascal and Maximus were soo incredibly funny xD

I enjoyed the Princess and the Frog but in my opinion it was just okay :) I am certain I would have liked it a whole lot more if it had come out when I was 10, though. When I watch the Little Mermaid these days I do still absolutely adore that movie but I can also see why I liked it better when I was younger xD

You're right about the death of traditional animation Disney :( It's really quite sad, I was thinking the same thing yesterday :/

Oh! I love your icon ^^!!

I <3 Pascal and Max! As much as I love talking animals like Flounder or Gus Gus, I think sidekicks are even funnier and more expressive when not speaking.

The Little Mermaid was such a huge part of my life. Ariel and Belle taught me everything I know about feminism. But you're right, there are some things that are just more magical when you're younger. Thank goodness for movies like Tangled that remind us of those times.

I love your icon too! I totally remember realizing it was a "D"! Funny thing is, now I sign my name like that, except for the last loopy thing that makes it look like a backwards "G".

Procrastinators unite! I do that a lot, lol. I think I'll put off my homework till tomorrow, now that I think of it. Pity this probably means I'll be pulling an all nighter for the first time in ages to finish it! xD

Fail, self, fail. >_>

Hehe, I have seen many a dawn break from my window where I'm hunched over a desk. Ah, memories.

I have still to see tangled. It looks cute from that clip you posted. However my techie background always gets in the way when watching movies. The mother was on the stairs with the candles and her cape by all rights should have caught on fire. I was thinking -oh crap, get the extinguisher. But nothing happened, because it's animated. Oh man.

I procrastinate random things, like cleaning my room. I'll go do that now.

I heartily recommend seeing it. Lol, sometimes you have to suspend your disbelief and throw logic out the window. I mean, the girl has miles of hair.

I myself used to have (just about) miles of hair, so I think that will be the least of my problems.

I've not seen Tangled yet, but I do like Disney movies. I always have done. I really liked the way that Disney films were often really funny and heart-warming, but also weren't afraid to be scary and dark. I always thought they got the balance exactly right.

Disney is great. It was a huge part of my childhood and now I'll still listen to the songs.

I really want to watch Tangled! But I'm waiting for it to come out on dvd to rent it.

Ugh I used to have that habit, too (popping zits) until I told myself to resist touching my face. XD

I can understand that, when I was in the States I hardly went to the cinema, prices are just too high right now!

Resistance is futile though sometimes! There's a honker on my chin right now that I'm dying to mess with.
