I practised drawing Peony and Jade. Studying how the layers of Jade's uniform work, I'm fully understanding why they say Jade wears way too many layers. O_O As expected from a uniform of Malkuth (under Peony's rule) indeed. Peony himself wears many layers too ( Read more... )

But they're in Grand Chokmah now! - hmm, actually, Grand Chokmah might be enough north (= colder?) for more layers, so Peony's dressing may make sense... But how about Jade in Chesedonia and that volcano place (with the famous(???) skit of party-sans-Tear wanting to undress the 30+ years old soldier) etc!? Hmm... canon-acknowledged mystery. *nod* Btw, did I mention that I realised after I tried having Jade in a few other costumes during 2nd playthrough that I found I possibly liked Jade in Malkuth uniform most of all?

Thanks~ ^^

Well that's half the explanation. Since Peony came up with the uniform without any consideration of the situations you described, Jade improvised. Mysteriously.

You mean you only did that in second playthrough? Now that you mention it, his other (FEW) costumes aren't quite serious enough to consider the normal kind of 'like'. Except maybe Battle Master. The Spa one I like, for a whole different reason altogether.
