I think that is part of the reason is he in the state he's in. I think several people he knows were injured severely.

I don't think anyone I know personally was hurt too terribly...it's the Death Eaters' influence that concerns me.

You would be right. If they have that much influence here, they could just as easily do it in France. Having power in France is the only way that man would have known me in the first place. If the same thing happens there...
