His skin was cold.

He had his gloves off for a moment-they were tainted with chemicals and needed to be cleaned-and he’d held a hand to his forehead to keep his throbbing headache from exploding out of his brain. This really reminded me of that. The characters have a fake skin, and they think they can take it off and go back to "normal" but they can't ever do that. Scary.
