Aight. Yesterday was bad, the day before was worse, whate'er, let's make a post!
SO... I watched Romeo and Juliet, the 68 version, not this "ooh we have a plus sign in the title we're cool" thing. I was not going in expecting to enjoy it, TBH, and I did. A lot. Not because of the story, which had me wanting to scream "OMG YOU STUPID [expletive]" at the titular characters, but because it was just so... enjoyable. I can't really put my finger on it past that. And because I don't know the second half of the story very well, it was kind of cool seeing things happen as they happen, without it being "ooh now they're coming up to this scene" "i don't like how they did that", which don't get me wrong is a lot of fun, it was just nice to have something more novel for a change.

I think I ship Romeo/Everyone. Benvolio seemed to be in love with Romeo, and then Romeo was all putting his face up to Mercutio's, and Mercutio and Benvolio definitely had something going on. The R&J fandom scares me a little, though.

I watched the first episode of Rome last night! The title sequence amused me so much. Ancient Roman graffiti is hilarious. Also, I may have made a bit of a strangled choking noise when Brutus came on.
Side note, WHY SLINGS&ARROWS WHYYYYY?
