She keyed the order into the register and spun on her heel to grab one of the cups. She reached over to grab the coffee pot, causing her sleeve to move just enough to reveal one of the more interesting new battle wounds she aquired. Fred assured her she wouldn't die or anything, but the fact that it was tinged with vibrant hues of maroon would make anyone wonder just what sort of fight she'd gotten herself into. She turned back around, coffee in hand and fished the change out of her register drawer.
"Okay, Aidan, here you go, one regular coffee and your change," she said.

He took a sip of the coffee and nodded in appreciation. "Although, with coffee as good as this, I might have to make an exception next time. And to see those neat tricks of yours."
There was still that little nagging in the back of his mind that had Aidan wanting to find out a little bit more about this girl.
"Have you worked here long?" He asked idly, still sipping at his coffee. "I have to admit I'm not a regular customer here, but I don't recall seeing you in the times I have stopped by."

He smiled a bit at her. "At least as long as you do your magic and fix me up another cup. I'll have a latte this time, I think."
Pulling out a few more bills, he placed them on the counter and cocked his head around the room before settling his eyes back on Kat. "Let me know if I need to have a conversation with your employer. I'm sure he'll be disappointed to lose such a valuable employee."
Aidan flashed her another smile and leaned against the counter. Another slayer to add to the firm's list of assets. Perhaps James would be pleased, but Aidan wasn't sure if he cared what James would think right at this moment. He was too curious of the girl standing in front of him for that to matter.

She glanced up at the clock and mentally noted that Tina should be coming in, any minute. She really didn't like her since she insisted on calling Kat Kitty and often meowed at her. Irritating girl. She shrugged her shoulders as she dried off the things with a towel. What did set her apart? Other than the obvious slayer bit?
