Sherlock was bored. Utterly bored. After running some experiments, reading both John's email and blog, he decided to get out of the flat.

Since it's his day off he'd taken to having a lie in. So when he wakes up it's already to late and Sherlock may as well be on his doorstep. He scrambles out of bed and pulls on the nearest things. Meaning a pair of ratty old jeans and a t-shirt from years ago.

He stumbles down his steps to the living room and then decides to catch his breath.

As if he is blessed with the worlds best timing, Sherlock rings the bell exactly as Lestrade sits down.

While quite familiar with the idea of a lie in; Sherlock has never done such a thing, he imagines one must have a simple mind to do nothing but stay in bed.

Lestrade sighs and gets up. He goes down and gets the door. "Sherlock, what a lovely surprise!" He sighs.

Sherlock invites himself in, studying the surroundings. An unkept stack of papers, yesterdays coffee mug: all little puzzle pieces to the Inspector's character. Sherlock flops onto the sofa.
