Many of the things you can count, don't count. Many of the things you can't count, really count!

I had a drunken conversation on Wednesday night with a couple of work colleagues about my terrible, terrible mathematical ability.  I was chatting to Sara, who is dyslexic, and when I was explaining to her the problems I have with maths and numbers she said they were very similar to the problems she has with letters and words.  So I did a bit of ( Read more... )

Seriously though yeah you probably have it- loads of people have it, dyscalculia is the numbers one, I've got that, with a sprinkling of dyslexia and all those fun things that meant in exams I had to sit in a little section of special people just like me...

I'm glad you're feeling T-Bexcellent again.

Yeah I had what was by all accounts a severe kidney infection and the one doc on Monday was talking about admitting me to hosp for IVs & things but the one I ended up seeing just doubled my dose which seems to have worked pretty well. 5lbs is love though :D

Seriously I will love you forever and a day if you do that <3 How is it coming along?

I have dyscalculia, and know how it feels to finally realise there is a reason for the issues I have with numbers and that I am not in fact a dunce :P

With mine, it was something I was advised to look into by my bank manager a few years back because I was having trouble managing my accounts as there were a lot of weird things going on (being paid fortnightly but into alternating accounts). I've never had an official "diagnosis" though as the tests to get it done (at least at the time) were around £400 and as it's not pertinent to my job, etc.

And hey, it could be worse... a friend of mine has Dyspraxia which is a physical dyslexia... she can't even ride a bicycle >.<
