Seeing as I'm currently struggling with my Sirius/Severus fic, which is just getting longer and longer, because they insist on having some action and conversation before I can finally make them get down to business, I'm posting one of my older stories to keep potential readers entertained (and maintain a market presence - very important these days ( Read more... )

I really like this, and heretofore I haven't had much of an interest in Scabbers/Pettigrew. It's really kind of creepy seeing things from his perspective, and you do a good job of representing his thoughts and emotions. I liked your take on Bill and Charlie, too.

And God, I felt sorry for Molly. Just reading about all that kid, toddler and infant-juggling made me have one of those horrible "Oops Baby" dreams last night. Aieee!

Thank you so much. I have never really had an interest in Scabbers/Pettigrew, either, but somehow, this fic begged to be written. I don't even remember how this idea originated.

As soon as I started thinking about it, I realised Scabbers' perspective is very interesting, and, like you, I feel it is indeed vaguely creepy, even though he doesn't want to do the Weasleys any harm. But imagine to look back at the last 12 years and realise that all this time you've lived with a murderer, traitor, and Voldemort supporter!

BTW, I really like your icon! It's cuuute!

Oh, it's so pretty! Excellent Peter point of view, not only showing the wonderful hectic house of the Weasleys when all the children were young and raucous, but also some of Peter's motivations and feelings about the entire situation. There were bits that were kinda funny - I think what I liked most was the Bill-Sirius comparison; actually, it gave me slashy thoughts, those few paragraphs, though I don't know i that was intended.

Either way, everything - even the little fragments of canon, like Prof. Grubbly Plank - was wonderful. Very nice Peter story; much more homely and kind of comforting than I'm used to.

Thanks a lot! I like to think that I can contribute to fleshing out Peter's character a bit more. This is actually the first fic I've ever written; the idea came to me all of a sudden and I felt compelled to write it. Peter is such an interesting character, and I think it's really interesting to explore him in depth.

And yeah, the slashy vibes were intended. *g* I'm glad you spotted them! Makes me feel as though I've phrased it correctly...

Also, just in reference to the other story you linked me because there was no review board and I hate emailing people; well done on that, too. Remus/Sirius is a favourote pairing of mine, and seeing it through Peter's eyes - and how uncomfortable/left out/treacherous he feels while at Remus's apartment - was absolutely ingenious. Your Peter's good; realistic, kind of comfortable and nervous and shifty all at the same time. I like him.

Hey, that's good to know! Thank you. I rather enjoyed writing from Peter's PoV. He's always left out from the centre of the action, and it's interesting to explore his motivations just before he snaps and starts trying to take charge of things.
