I need to have my sewing machine cleaned and oiled. It's making horrible noises even after I oiled it myself, it needs to be done professionally ( Read more... )

The place on Moody St. did an excellent job repairing a strained motor on my machine, and I have not had trouble with it since, but I should mnention that that was in 1989, and I have no idea if the same technicians are there.

But that was where I was going to suggest.

I wouldn't go to the place in Davis Square. Too expensive, and the last time I was there they were kind of snippy.

Freinds and I have had luck with Marie's in the Woburn Mall (the one with Fabric Place in it, next to China Pearl), although they ran a bit late with my friend's machine recently....

I really liked the work that the place I took my 2 machines did. They were quick and didn't cost too much. I'll see if I can find the service tag when I get home.
