Just before I was born, Gary Cooper and Clark Gable died. When I was about five, Walt Disney died. While I was in high school, Elvis Presley, Bing Crosby and John Wayne died. When I lived in Portugal, I had to figure out the headlines that announced the deaths of Cary Grant and Fred Astaire. A while back it was Jimmy Stewart. Etc.
If I live for a while longer I'll see a lot of heartbreak even among people I actually know and love. I'll miss everyone. It's not for me to sort out.
Sorry, little baby girl, but we get old. Think of the Million Dollar Quartet. Only the Killer and Johnny ash (barely) survive. Just be glad we got their music. I'm sorry I never got to see Johnny Burnette, Eddie Cochran, or Buddy Holly. Ah, well, maybe in Heaven.

I guess that I just don't like everyone all going at once. I need a bit of a break inbetween.
