Gypsy: STILL IN NEED OF A HOME

Sep 28, 2011 04:59

At this point, it looks like the worst is happening. We'll probably be putting our foot down with our oldest tonight. Middle girl is looking to be out in October or November. I'm looking into long term hotels (which have their own problems). Hubs may still find a job, but right this moment, I can't hope for it. Once middle girl is gone, I'll have no online access.

So, I need to prepare for this. Not sure about the cats yet (we might be able to take one or two with us, and middle girl will be taking hers), but I think I need to start looking for a new home for Gypsy. She's a 12 year old red-merle Aussie. She's spade, fairly gentle tempered (afraid of men, gets along with cats as long as they leave her food alone, gets along with kids) but is need of a three cranberry dogfood (we found one at Petco for $10/bag and that seems to do her fine for a week) and we've not been able to keep up on the fleas and grooming as well as we would have if things hadn't gone into the toilet the way they have. Also, as an older, big dog, she probably has maybe 3 years or so left.

We can't afford to ship her anywhere. Anyone who decides they can take her will need to come here to get her. We're in Lawrenceville GA.

Best picture I can find at the moment is here: htp://www.domynoes.com/journaled/whysper/2005/12.29.05.php. She's gotten grayer since then.

We may have two or more cats coming up needing homes as well. We're trying to keep the two older cats, but it just may not be possible.
