Since I'm moving I have a few things I need to get rid of. The larger items are pickup only (Carlton North), as I've no way of getting them anywhere. If no one wants them, I'll probably get some recycler to come take them off my hands, or toss them in a skip ( Read more... )

i'm currently clearing out my belongings too - can things like computers, tvs etc go into skips?

If you do get a skip - let me know what it costs :)

Yes.

You can put almost anything in a skip.

They don't like Mattresses though. Also when you book said skip - just tell them what you're throwing out, they will tell you what is ok.

Computers and TV's though? not a problem.

I'm pretty sure they can, yeah, but the place you book your skip from should be able to tell you that information. There's a lot of places you can book from too, though I've been recommended bookabin.com. Our council also offers two free hard-rubbish collections per year, you might want to look in to that as well.

I haven't had any hard rubbish collections (not sure about prev tenants in the year) - i will definitely use that option.

How big is the washing machine... I've currently got Marta's but its like 4.5kg, its workable, but I could do with something a tad bigger perhaps...

It's smaller than what you've got, only 4kg.

I know that Sarah and James need a fridge...

Aren't they currently using Sarah's old one? Either way I wouldn't recommend mine as a main fridge, it's not that great. It would do as a secondary, or converted for other uses (say, as a controlled environment for brewing beer).

Ash rents a washing machine. I bet if you offered a good price he might buy it.
