A plague of gnats

Lately my kitchen has been swarmed with one of the most annoying, yet for the most part benign, insects in existence. I can’t recall ever having this problem before. The occasional gnat, yes, but never in such numbers. If I were a conspiracy theorist I would say this is yet another attempt by my landlords to drive me away. First the ceilings ( Read more... )

I almost wish I had an invasion of gnats just so I could gleefully set up a death trap like that for them.

Well, I've always said if you're going to go around setting up death traps, you might as well have a smile on your face and a song in your heart.

Sorry you missed out this time, but I'm sure you'll have your fair share of pests to vanquish.

We should get together. Let's see, I'm in northern Illinois and you're in Michigan so if we met in the middle that would be around...Lake Michigan? How well do you swim?

I wish I'd known; we could have commiserated! I just defeated an assault of flies around the sink with a trap of scented soapy water that gradually doomed them.

How strangely timed this is. Perhaps there is some sort of bug conspiracy?

A bug conspiracy? I hadn't considered that possibility. I hope it's not too widespread. While we clearly have the advantage as far as size and mental capacity, their ranks far outnumber our own.
