wow...Oh I love those brothers. And I love this piece. You know, for someone who doesn't like/hates Michael, you write him very well. And I'm so glad you still write him because I like both the brothers and always completely agree with your take on them. You write them both so well.

And yeah that nosebleed thing worries me but I shall not get into spoilers here.

Thanks for your fic!

Thanks for leaving a comment, though I wonder who you are!

Regardless that I don't love Michael all that much, I do love the dynamic between the brothers, so I'm glad that my versions of them are pleasing to you!

The truth is, I've never really liked Michael. He's always irritated me on some level, but his obsession with Sara is pretty much the thing that put me over on the permanent non-liking side.

I don't know what could make me have more positive feelings towards him, maybe if he didn't act like he loves Sara more than Linc and LJ, that would help, but that's pretty much out of your control.

As for writing them, I've always written less Michael than Linc, so that won't change, but you can't really write one without the other, so I'm sure he'll still get used in various pieces.

My problem is I can often explain Lincoln's behavior, but even though on some level I understand Michael's behavior, I still find it annoying. So you know, it's just preferences. Not everyone can like all the same people, and thank goodness, because what a boring world it would be. Besides, there is TONS of fanfic out there written about Michael. By comparison, Lincoln is hardly showcased even half as often, so I'm happy to be more Lincoln heavy.

Oh Candy! This was heart-breaking and so sensitively written. I really can see the truth in all these theories and it almost had me weeping.

You know what bugs me about Lincoln and his attitude to Mahone right now? Why is he so pissed that Mahone killed a father he barely knew and yet he's not swearing revenge on The Company who very nearly put him through a horrible death, caused his brother to get himself mutilated (I won't go into the loss of the tatt here! Grrr!) and worst of all killed Veronica while he was listening on the other end of the phone? I don't blame Lincoln; I blame TPTB. It doesn't make sense to me.

You really do a wonderful job of writing characters you don't necessarily like because you do it as well as writing the characters you do like. And the fact that you had the brothers almost as an entity, or maybe even a character in their own right (does that make sense?) in this made me yearn for the good old days of Season One.

Loved it so much, sweetheart.

I'll give you my Linc-Aldo-Mahone theory, and then maybe you won't want to kick Lincoln's ass so much...

Lincoln isn't mad at Mahone for killing Aldo, he's mad at him for being Aldo. Mahone has done the same things to his family that Aldo did to Lincoln.

Lincoln doesn't want to deal with The Company because he just wants to forget everything that's happened. He wants to play house with Sofia and not ever deal with everything that's happened.

As for this piece, I'm glad you liked it; I certainly didn't expect to push anyone's emotions so much. But yes, to view The Brothers as their own character has always felt very right. Linc and Michael always back each other up, you know? They always agree in front of people. Any arguments, they have privately. It's interesting to me.

I really like the paths you have sketched here, and how they intersect, especially the physical corrolation Michael made (that triggered an emotional corrolation as well) between the way Lincoln whispered against his skin and the way Sara did. I like the idea that that was the moment his need for her clicked into place.

I wish we saw so much more interaction between these three in canon. Thank goodness for fanfic.

Yes, it's frustrating that the only emotional stuff we get we have to create ourselves. I wish the woman on that writing staff seemed to have more say in things.

I've always thought Michael's attraction to Sara was in part based on her similarities to Lincoln. Another of those theories that floats around...

I loved it, especially Sara's part. And I want in the show the same kind of scene as in your conclusion ;)
I'm glad you managed to finish it. Thanks for sharing.

I actually really liked the Sara part the best too. I must have been channeling miss_mazzie, because she writes a great Sara.

It's funny because I've been thinking the same thing--that Michael has to die. I used to get very upset if anyone talked about either of them (or LJ) dying before the end, but now I don't know. I kinda think it's the only thing that would give it credibility.

Sara's part was my favorite too. I went somewhere I haven't been before with her character, and I just really liked the honesty there.
