HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, how could that have escaped snark? I don't recall seeing it in either this group or SF drama.

oh my god, what is this person spewing on about? And why are they always contradicting themselves? First they say "the inside is caramelized" someone else says "uh no, the inside is not caramelized" then he comes back "that's what I said! The crust is caramelized blah blah blah". Since when is the inside of bread the crust? The stupid. Everywhere. And it keeps growing!

I would put money of it that the guy has no friends in real life. Seriously. No one is right about everything, dude!!

Agreed, I mean, if he's this desperate to be "right" about an argument on the internetz than the chances of him actually having a life are slim to none.

The bread thread is pretty damn funny. One of my favorite snarks ever, I even put it in my memories, not just for the wank but for the recipe too.

I had a cinnamon-and-chocolate croissant the other day, and it was all caramelized and gooey in the center. Fricken' yummy.

I... have to admit, my inner nerdy breadbaker (okay, outer, I'm about to go bake) is horrified by the OP in that second link. I totally understand using the microwave as a proof box, i.e. nuking a cup of water to build up humidity then letting your dough rise in the humidity. But nuking the dough itself? WHY? Flavor develops during the rising process! And those slashes wouldn't do a darn thing... /nerd

*goes nerdily bake her nerd challah and cry*

I, I know.... I kind of agreed with his snarking her "baguette". That's not a baguette... nice bread I'm sure, but baguette... its not.
