I never thought I'd covet a turnip.

Thursday evening, we went to a local food event that was WONDERFUL. All the key ingredients were grown/raised around Cape Cod.

The menu,
  • Duo of Eastham & Barnstable Turnip Bisque Amazing soup!
  • Roasted Pistachio & Heirloom Sweet Potato Strudel
  • Assorted Lamb, Brussel Sprouts, Braised Turnip Greens, Just Dug Potatoes & Goat Cheese As part of presenting the lamb, they went around with the lamb's head offering bits of cheek, brain and by the time they got to us, tongue.
  • Mixed Greens, fresh Blue Cheese, Pickled Onions & Slow Poached Garlic Viniagrette
  • Apple and Cranberry Tart with Cranberry Creme Anglaise
