All right, people, this is it. Ginny disappeared yesterday, so her disappearance will be noticed by now. If your character has any interest in/knowledge of this (members and friends of the Weasley family in particular), you may want to have them comment on this in their journals, or whatnot, even if they won't be involved in the actual StoryLine ( Read more... )

Blaise would like to point out that although the Aurors will be able to take Ginny back, she will have been severely Imperius-ed, Crucio-ed, and otherwise maltreated that she won't be able to show her happy face on the Prophet the next day or anything. And that it may even take the rescuing party some time to get back to London from the remote location where she was held (cannot Apparate and Disapparate from a DE cell, and DE portkey is now defunct and abandoned.)

That's actually good, since that'll give us time to catch up with Real Time, as it were, and I'll be AWOL until about 5PM EST on the Saturday, so we can use that "padding" time. :) And yes, I had figured Ginny'd not exactly be treated well. :)

I'm guilty of stating a bit of the obvious, yes. :) I only mentioned it because I was under the impression that the DEs were unable to extract info from Ginny, which would not have been hard to do with no real damage and pain if they had access to Veritaserum, and this indicates that they would have resorted to force and brutality.

Hm. *shuffles around the HP Lexicon*

Veritaserum
"veritas" L. truth
The most powerful Truth Serum available.
A Truth Potion so powerful that three drops would have you spilling your innermost secrets
Use of this potion is controlled by very strict Ministry guidelines (GF27)
Dumbledore had Snape use it on Barty Crouch Jr. (GF35)

Well, I'd say that if the use of it is controlled by the Ministry, there must be at least one ingredient that is rare enough for the Ministry to control, right? So, while I'm sure the DEs can get access to it, it'll probably be reserved for more important prisoners and/or prisoners who show extraordinary resistance to torture.

Yes? No?

Okay, well, that's not

How will word spread initially of her disappearance especially at the Ministry? Just general on-the-job rumor mill?

Probably, yes. It'll be all hush-hush, because if word got out to the general public that the person who maintains the Disappeared List has disappeared herself, that wouldn't be good PR for the Ministry, but people working at the Ministry would've likely heard something, especially if they're friends of Ginny or the other Weasleys.

First journal entry of Dolosus 2.0 is up. Hope I didn't contradict anything.
