Ahaha, oh man, that makes me laugh so much. This is why proposals before an audience are a bad idea!

I know. It's a wonder anyone needs this explaining to them, really...

That was hysterical. Especially the one about the proposal written in icing round the edge of the plate...

I liked that one - especially that they did the response but made her deliver it herself...

I suppose it's better to find out before you get married that your would-be fiance has absolutely no idea of your character than afterwards!

Judging by the article, it's better to find this out before actually becoming engaged, in a lot of cases...

Public proposals are such a weird phenomenon. I don't understand people who feel they need to make a spectacle of themselves. And yes, Schadenfreude isn't always a bad thing.

I always cringe at sporting events when some guy proposes in front of 25,000 people. The poor girl pretty much has to say yes, whether she wants to or not. It seems so bizarre and manipulative to make such an inherently private thing public like that.

I don't think I've ever been to a sporting event where someone proposes in front of thousands of people! I've seen it done on TV, though - and you're right, the poor other half doesn't have a chance to say no. Though no doubt there is still time to pack a bag and leg it after the cameras have stopped rolling.
