Ah my dear, those are some excellent books... I love Alexie!!! You should totally come up and visit me sometime, you'd like my roommate, for sure. I've heard a similar "rant" from here recently too (an English major working at Subway incites some interesting conversations) and you guys would totally get along... besides, I'd love to see you! But if not sometime soon, then maybe over break I'll catch you at home. Meh, anyway... hope the rest of your Sunday goes well. ;)
::hugs:: -H.

I'm thinking that someday a trip to Portland is in order, but it's been impossible so far this term. Classes M-F and work Thursday through Sunday. Something every day...

Going absolutely crazy and I really need a vacation.

By emoting pity you are placing yourself higher than those who don't read. Books are a good media, but (as with any format) you can miss a lot of living if you have your nose in a book all day. So you'll say you do other things and have an "interesting" life, but it's living in a small american town going to college and doing a job. Drinking, drug experimentation, self manipulation. You can kiss boys and be a cutter or whatever people do, but my point is, "interesting" people write (or could). Typical people read.

I think you misunderstood my rant and it's context.

While I do wish everyone read, I was condemning those people who don't read and typically have never read for pleasure *YET still call all books stupid or gay or retarded*.

And when did this turn into an issue of interesting people or whether or not I write?

Since Myspace is composed chiefly of ignorant shits, plastered together by a rare paste of intellectuals, it seems hardly fair to expect them to appreciate literature or - heaven forbid - proper HTML coding. As such, I invite you to join my forthcomming intellectual moon colony, dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge.
