A persons career is only one aspect of their overall maturity. Maybe he thought you were too young emotionally. My boyfriend has a real job and I'm still in school, working a crappy one and we are pretty much on the same level and were the same age.

Right, I left out the emotional part in there. I definitely didn't mean to make it sound like career was all that was important. That's just primarily what he focused on.
