Cult Party has actually closed down. It has been reincarnated as the "Cult Party Second Chapter," The Virgin Mary. You can find The Virgin Mary on twitter and their website, which also has their blog. Sadly, they don't update the blog much, but their twitter is constantly updated.

Me too! I might even like it more than dolly/grimoire now, but of course I still love both styles. It's also a bit confusing since Cult Party changed stores, so I hope people who like the style see this post and look into The Virgin Mary.

Same here. I like it's still antique, but it's more pastels and less dark (I love pastels). But I still love dolly kei just as much.

I visited the Virgin Mary when I was last there in September (as well as Grimoire, of course!) Although it's true cult party kei may have a lighter palette, there were still darker, gothier items to be had.

I would figure there would be, yeah. At the end of the day they're still a vintage store so there tends to be some variation, right? I've also seen some darker coords that I would still consider to be cult party kei as opposed to dolly kei, though I can't exactly explain why I feel tht way...

That capelet is absolutely fabulous, by the way. Nice buy.
