Re: Tie-dye: Eeeeeeee! :-D And she bearsa striking resemblance to Janis Joplin. (Which should really not suprise me. :-) (I also like the Debbie-Harry-based one. ;-)
Why do you want us to ignore Delerium's shoes? They look like those little ballet-flat slippers that are so popular over here right now. (Albeit with slightly pointier toes).
Re: Desire: Interesting how you did the face. totally androgynous. Nicely done. :-) Looks a bit like s/he's fading out of a stone surface. How'd you do that? :-)
I think Del's are somewhat shapeless, and also I ran out of paper at the bottom.
Re: Desire: there's a function in GIMP (that should also be in Photoshop; as far as I understand, GIMP is a free and slightly less luxurious alternative to Photoshop), probably called something like 'thresholds'. Basically, you define a shade of grey, and anything darker than that will be turned black. What I did, here, was not cleaning up the paper before scanning, doing the thresholds thingy, and shrinking the picture afterwards (which is why there are greyshades after all. I think.)
Re: Thresholds: So... anything *lighter* than that will be turned to... white? :-) Or is that just *way* too easy... :-)
Re: Delerium's shoes: Well, slightly, but that's part of why they look like slippers. Plus, hello, it's Delerium. She strikes me as a slippers or barefoot kind of gal. Usually, anyway. :-)
Re: Running out of paper: Doesn't it suck when that happens? So annoying. :-P

Ah, no, I oversimplified. It has two functions: defining a shade and turning everything that's darker into black; and defining a shade and turning everything that's lighter into white. These two don't have to be the same, though.
