Toby and Karen are a great match in this, because they're awesome people who just got totally shafted by the Big Cute Love. What a beautiful moment you created between them!

It was weird -- I never really extensively contemplated Karen and Toby bonding over this before, but then once I'd written this, I kind of felt almost curious to explore that bond even more. Except . . . then I got lazy and decided to just post the fic. :D Ah, such is life! But maybe I'll do more with them.

Yeah, I've been thinking about Karen since I watched that promo and you kind of captured that feeling pretty nicely here. I loved this line: She’s not used to being a crier. It’s getting old real fast.

It sort of just says it all.

It's kind of hard for me not to get hung up on Karen the most out of all the stuff in the promo. (Except maybe Awesome!Kelly. Winnnn!) It was just so . . . he dumped her ass and left her crying by a fountain in New York City! Way to go, Halpert.

So, yeah, I may or may not have some issues going into s4. Let's see how those play out.

Oh! My heart was breaking for both of them, so tragic. I really really loved this, it was so perfectly in character and I can definitely see Karen and Toby bonding over their mutual heart break, both disgusted at how perfect Jim and Pam are together even though deep down they both knew that Jim and Pam were inevitable, no matter how much they tried to deny it to themselves. And sweet old Toby always seems to know how to comfort people without being obvious about it, and you portrayed that beautifully. Wonderful writing, I loved it!
