Wow. it's strange that I never though a Kelly-centric fic could actually make me feel so downright sad. The new Ryan/Kelly dynamic sort of makes me ill, but you captured it in its essence, perfectly.

She misses that Ryan. This one now, the one that came back, she can never tell if he means anything he does.

Totally true! Old Ryan might have been mean most of the time, but when he wasn't, it was like all these genuine feelings managing to slip through. Which is kind of the opposite of now. And I love that he's actually pursuing her now and everything, but, it's weird.

I want old Ryan back too! I'm getting sort of nervous, because while the Villainous Evil Ryan is funny, it's just like ... it's got to stop and he's got to be properly humbled sooner or later, right? Because otherwise, he is really going to be Jan 2.0. I'm just not ready to lose another former straight man character to The Crazy Side.

Oh, Ryan. Can't you snap out of it? But then realize that you have been a mad, mad fool not to appreciate Kelly all these years? I think it's not at all too much to ask!

Loooooove this part. She just knows him. As much as it pains her to have him treat her badly, she also loves him for that. It's a sickness, really, but I love that dynamic of theirs. D: This is so sad, and yet so empowering!

That's my favorite line too. And the "You're Perfect" comparison. I really like how Kelly sees through his NY attitude and just wants him to be normal- even if normal isn't as nice.
