Thank you! <3 I hope they show more of their friendship in the webisodes, too. Ghoulia is so sweet in them and it would really humanize Cleo (which she needs).
I wasn't planning on getting any of the DotD line (though I do really like Frankie's outfit), but I got Cleo as a gift. :c Her hair was a hot mess as far as glue was concerned, but I washed it out and now, I really have grown attached to her. I'm not sure how my original Cleo feels about it, but they're both staying with me. hehe. The Beach line is so wonderful just because of the adorable and unique qualities to all of their suits, and the awesome new hair/face paint. Mattel has really poured the best of their creativity into this line as a whole.
Thank you so much! I love how bold and bright their colors show up in pictures. <3
I'm not really a fan of beach themed dolls in general, or much of a summer girl, either, but this line happens to be really cute. Leave it to MH to make a cute beach line? It's all the character details that make it special. :)
I hope you can find Ghoulia and Holt in Canada soon!
I looked all over town for a Ghoulia, but couldn't find one anywhere. :( I ended up buying one off ebay. I feel guilty, but I know I'll get over it when she gets here!
Holt's hair is fabulous!
The dance and beach lines don't really float my boat. Thank goodness. :P
She's worth it, honestly. I love her so much. I don't like to pick favorites, because I love all my MH girls (and all my dolls in general), but Ghoulia has something special about her. <3
His hair is fantastic! I'm obsessed with how they managed to make it look like that. xD
I'm not really a beach line person at all, which is why I won't be fussed about getting any of the new ones (whew), but I do appreciate them for the character qualities and the new face paint, etc. The DotD line honestly had a lot more potential. The three girls they made are cute but could have been better. As I said to lacelocket, I got Cleo in the DotD line as a gift, and I've grown attached to her (she's fabulous, she will not allow it to be denied), but I wouldn't have bought any of them independently. My love will always lie with the wonderfulness of the basic original dolls in the line.
Without her glasses, Ghoulia reminds me of Michelle Pfeiffer a little. omg, she really does! :D
I love all their hairstyles, but Draculaura's whole ensemble may be my favorite. Jackson is so.cute, I agree. And agreed that it's cool they gave him rooted hair rather than the molded monster hair. Deuce and Holt needed it, obviously, but it's nice to see a human boy like Jackson. :)
I like Deuce's scaley head but it would have been so neat if his snakes were posable. And how awesome would it be if Holt had a light in his head that made his flames flicker?!
I thought about how spectacular it would be if Holt had a light in his head, too! xD I suppose it would have been expensive, but it would look so cool. And posable snakes would have been awesome, too. I wonder if they're planning any other monster boys...?
I'm all jealous now--I only realized recently how much I wanted Ghoulia (in fact I don't think I even knew she existed until earlier this month), so while I had a hard time finding Frankie and Draculaura for reasonable prices where I live, Ghoulia's been impossible to find. I don't want to pay the $50+ I'm seeing on eBay, but nowhere else seems to have her--or at least the stores that do don't ship and I don't have them in my area, or ones like Target are out of stock. And I love Frankie and Draculaura, they're adorable, but I kind of need Ghoulia. She has awesome clothes! Her pet is an owl! She has fabulous blue hair! She's shy and really smart! She's a zombie who apparently can't talk, oh lawl. She is precious. Any ideas on where I might find her without shelling out huge amounts on eBay?

Do you have a local Justice store? I would try there - they seem to be the only place that has reliably had her in stock. I really hope that you are able to get her sometime! She is truly adorable and I understand exactly what you mean when you say you need her. <3 Good luck, let me know if you manage to find her!!!
I don't--in fact there isn't even a Justice store in my entire state--but I posted at onestopdollshop figuring it was at least worth a shot, and a couple days ago I actually got a reply from someone willing to sell me their Ghoulia for what they paid, which is anywhere from $15 to $30 less than eBay prices. EXCITE.

I love that Draculaura's hair is down. Jackson is adorable, I'm so happy that he doesn't have molded hair like Deuce and Holt.
