Yep, my search for just the right camera continues. *sigh* I've searched through an endless number of camera review sites, and I think I may have found something.

I don't know a whole lot about cameras, but I have an SLR that I got for Christmas, and the difference in the pictures has been amazing. If I would just sit down and actually read some more about photography, it could do so much more. I think an SLR is the best. I shake too, but my pics are not blurry. The pics are usually pretty clear too. I think mine was somewhere around $600..and then I got the insurance to. ...Ok..just checked. Yes..$600. It's a Nikon D50, and I bought it online from Ritz.

Anyway, just my (probably not too helpful) opinion.

Actually, your opinion is very helpful. That's what I was asking for after all :)

I've seen how amazingly clear and lovely your photos are, but I'm afraid that an SLR might be too much for my personal needs. But, I will certainly keep my eye on the Nikon D50. It's not a bad price, and I know for certain it *can* take lovely shots.
