I think it would have been awful if they had aired the original pilot. It was too much all at once and made much less sense than the pilot they aired.

I agree. All in all, I think it was a good decision that Joss decided to shoot another pilot which doesn't mean that the new pilot is perfect, but it's definitely less confusing.
And tbh, Joss's pilots were never that good, he's way better at writing storylines that take more than a few eps.

But I think I need to watch the unaired pilot again, because the first time watching it was way too confusing for me, esp. because of all the scenes we'd previously seen throughout the whole season put in several episodes.

I just think it would have been a HUGE mistake to have Paul and Echo meet face-to-face in the very first episode, aaacak.

i thought the unaired pilot was much, much better than 'Ghost' in every conceivable way.
