I love this! There's not a lot of good Paul fic around and you did it so well! Excellent theorizing and execution and total bonus points for bringing back Loomis!

In my quest to make Paul interesting, I kept coming back to the unexplored territory of the Paul trapped in Alpha's head for ten years (vs the other Paul, with his own body, who I sadly couldn't quite fit in the story) and in a round about sort of way, what happened to the only other ally he seemed to have, Agent Loomis.

This is fantastic. I wouldn't have thought to deal with how Paul and Alpha get along, but I like it. The Alpha characterization is spot-on. Nice to see Loomis, who I personally missed in S2, and good to see Paul in his non-DH element. He's a tough character because he's always seemed like more of a deconstruction of a character (what place does the White Knight have in a dark gray world?) and I like this interpretation.

It's a small thing, but I really liked the detail of Paul 2.0 coming to within Alpha. I mean, it's one thing for the personalities that aren't actually real, but the characters that end up downloaded into a Doll are in such a weird spot, and we don't see it from their perspective. It's a great touch.

Ohh I am so delighted you liked this, because I wasn't sure how you were going to respond to such a bazaar collection of things going on in this fic.

I am all about Loomis, and as Paul's only ally in season one, really wanted to flesh her out a touch, have someone on his team in a way that made sence. Paul too, as his utter isolation makes him hard to relate to other characters.

In my head, Loomis and her kids meet up with the other Paul and echo and survive to the end of E2.

I really really liked that part too, I'm proud how that whole paragraph turned out.

I should just finish writing you the rest of my commentary, seeing as I am halfway there.
