While I love the resolution of the story, I hate that Reid lost his incredible skills. My mother had a brain aneurymn (well, to be accurate three aneurysyms and several resulting strokes) when I was a child. It was devestating. My mother was a special education teacher and taught classes at University...the impact was devestating to her. I hear people say in posts "i'm going to have an aneurysim...and it kills a bit inside of me. They don't know what harm they're infilicting. It's a common joke now, I hear it all the time, but if it happened to you...or if you knew it could happen to you...would it be FUNNY?
I'm so glad Reid is still able to work despite the injury and that he's accepted Luke and Bob's support and encouragement. Can't wait for the final updates.
don't want Reid to lose himself (meaning his neurosurgeon side...). It's one of the things that makes him Reid... but it's good to see him opened to other views... He is going to be a SUPER CoS... one that will make Luke proud, really.
I'm glad that Reid sees that his life can be more than just being a neurosurgeon. But that is a very special skill and I hope he is able to use it again.
