Not feeling very charitable to Luke at the moment. The whole time I read his thoughts about his relationship, I just kept thinking how idealized that is. Sure, everyone wants that kind of life, but no one actually gets it. Luke should realize that, since he sabotaged his relationship so casually. He especially can't realistically get back to "forever" with Reid. Not without a lot of hard work.
You know how much I adore Casey and Luke's friendship and I loved what you wrote for them. Usually Casey is the funny guy but I liked the parallels between his relationship with Ali and Luke's relationship with Reid. And this line:
Casey made a ripple. Luke knew he made a tsunami.
Was spectacular (as was that whole paragraph really).
