B2MeM 2011, Day Twenty-Eight-Homecoming, Part One

Man, it's easy to forget, in our time of instant and always-available communication, how a letter like this would be the only account Imrahil might have had for weeks. To read a letter like this and then to have to wait weeks until you can finally get answers to all the burning questions.

Isn't that the truth? Our children certainly don't understand that delayed communication. When I was in high school, I was exchanging stories by mail with a friend of mine. It would take up to a week between chapters, though we were both local. I remember the anticipation fondly.

Good to see the Metarre incident referenced. Andrahar certainly has reason to be hard on himself. Now--to see how it worked out!
