Mmm, I sometimes, and definitely very often now (due to the lj-cut issue) jump back and forth between the two formats, in order to tweak things, since my HTML is really, really minimal. (I only know how to do italics, bolds, and underlines; I don't even know the code for font color change... *sniff* so sad....)
